About the OpportunityDMI, LLC is seeking a highly skilled

Quality Assurance Developer

to join our team, focusing on automated and manual testing of our Python-based SaaS platform. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans and scripts to ensure that our platform is bug-free and functions seamlessly. You will work closely with the development team to identify issues early in the development cycle and ensure our platform meets the quality standards that our customers expect.

Your role will be essential in supporting the continued development of our platform and ensuring that new features and updates are delivered with minimal defects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Strategy:

Collaborate with the product and development teams to create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements and user stories for our Python-based SaaS platform.

Automated Testing:

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Python-based testing frameworks such as PyTest, Selenium, or Behave to ensure the platform’s functionality, performance, and security.

Manual Testing:

Perform manual testing when necessary to identify bugs, usability issues, or inconsistencies, particularly for edge cases and complex user workflows.

Regression Testing:

Design and implement regression tests to ensure that new features do not negatively impact existing functionality.

Performance Testing:

Conduct performance and load testing to ensure that the SaaS platform remains scalable and efficient under heavy usage.

Bug Tracking and Reporting:

Document and track defects in a bug-tracking system (e.g., Jira) and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure quick feedback on the quality of builds.

Collaboration:

Actively collaborate with front-end and back-end developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to identify potential quality issues early in the development process.

Quality Metrics:

Define and monitor quality metrics to measure the effectiveness of testing efforts and improve overall product quality.

QualificationsEducation and Years of Experience:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience:

3+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Developer, Software Test Engineer, or similar role, working with SaaS platforms.

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:

Python Proficiency:

Strong knowledge of Python and experience with Python-based testing frameworks like PyTest, Selenium, Unittest, or Behave.

Testing Expertise:

Experience designing and implementing both automated and manual testing for complex web applications, particularly SaaS platforms.

Test Automation:

Proven ability to create and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.

Bug Tracking Tools:

Proficiency in using tools like Jira, Trello, or similar for bug tracking and task management.

API Testing:

Experience testing RESTful APIs, using tools such as Postman or SoapUI, to validate data exchanges between the front-end and back-end services.

CI/CD Knowledge:

Familiarity with integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI) to automate the quality control process.

Agile Development:

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and participating in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.

SaaS Platform Experience:

Experience testing features in multi-tenant SaaS environments with a focus on performance, security, and data accuracy.

Cloud Environment:

Experience testing applications deployed on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Security Testing:

Familiarity with security testing practices, ensuring that the platform meets compliance standards and best practices for data protection.

Performance Testing Tools:

Experience using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar to perform load and performance testing on SaaS applications.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to report to or work in an office environment.

Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer, including testing and documenting test results.

Ability to use a keyboard, mouse, and monitor for extended periods.

Ability to communicate effectively with team members through digital collaboration tools (e.g., video calls, emails, chat platforms).
