Job Description
The Product Manager for the Intrusion Sensors group will manage the product life cycle of a portfolio of wireless security and life safety products within the global Intrusion business unit. This role will work with cross functional teams in development, regional marketing, sales, product support, critical vendor partners and with other internal product managers. Our collective goal across the Access Control and Intrusion Control business unit as well as our Building Technologies division business is a cohesive, integrated solution for our customers and end users.
Key areas of focus include:
Product Management: Manage an expanding portfolio of wireless sensors to help achieve defined business objectives. Write product requirements for new sensors and work closely with engineering during the planning and development of the products. Manage the near term and long-term product roadmap planning and execution.
Product Launch: Responsible for managing global product launches of new sensor releases. Responsibilities include coordinating a cross-functional team to develop and deliver hand off materials, assisting in the development of marketing materials.
Gathering Market Insight/Intel: Embrace continuous feedback and product input from our sales force and system integrators. Work with customers and potential customers to gather feedback on how to improve our portfolio.
Competitor Analysis: Keep abreast of competitor products and market trends to develop and maintain strategic vision for product roadmaps.
Qualifications:Qualifications
5+ years of successful product management experience in a large, global, matrixed organization; preferably in the security, wireless, or electronic products organizations
Excellent listening, interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work effectively in a cross functional global organization serving a worldwide customer base
Leadership qualities and an ability to influence others in a matrix organization
Able to plan, organize and follow through/implement to achieve timely, accurate results, focusing on key priorities and effectively juggling multiple projects.
Familiarity with wireless/RF communication technology such as Z-wave, ZigBee, Thread, etc.
Outstanding communication skills when working with customers, engineering, sales, marketing, and management
Able to travel up to 15-20% of the time based on project and professional deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge or experience in the intrusion industry a plus
Product development process familiarity (Agile and Waterfall)
Technical undergraduate degree preferred

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000 to $125,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
