The Project Manager I oversees Water/Wastewater projects, ensuring safety, client satisfaction, and adherence to project objectives and plans.
Responsibilities include:
Managing the project teamEnforcing change controlResource managementIssue resolutionReporting project status.
This role involves small to medium-sized waste/wastewater projects, coordination, and team management. Additional duties encompass relationship building, financial oversight, and leading project reviews.
Education/Certification Required:
4-year college degree or technical engineering degree ( Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) , and/or relevant experience including p roject planning and executionPMP certification is a plus5 years of Water/Wastewater experience preferred
Experience Required:
3-6 years of construction management experienceThorough knowledge of contracting and construction in Mechanical and Electrical fieldUnderstanding of energy performance work in lower and higher education or municipality projects beneficial
Skills:
Strong communication (written and verbal), project management, and organization skillsExcellent time management and organization skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially MS Project, Word, and ExcelProcore Experience requiredFinancial acumen and understanding preferredPassionate about customer service and team successLeadership skills: team building, empowerment, delegation of authority, ability to build rapport and consensusThorough understanding of contract procedures and tacticsKnowledge of contract law, codes, standards, and industry construction
Travel:
Ability to travel greater than 75%Normal work schedule is Mon-Thurs/Fri depending on project requirementsSpecial project circumstances may require additional working hours on weekends, typically scheduled in advance
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Involves moving over rough or uneven surfaces, bending, lifting, and transporting itemsExposure to office environments and outdoor weather conditions during project site visitsWork primarily performed on project sites, requiring greater than 75% travel to project sites.
