COMMERCIAL SERVICES DIRECTOR/COMMERCIAL LENDING DIRECTOR I

Position Overview:
As the Commercial Lending/Services Director I, you will help Members First Credit Union deliver on its mission: To encourage a better tomorrow. You will lead the Commercial Lending team and provide strategic direction, driving performance and service excellence while adhering to our brand promise: We believe in you.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the Commercial Lending team, overseeing all functions of the department including sales, operations, credit, and business development.Maintain and grow loan portfolios, ensuring member satisfaction through timely responses to loan requests, renewals, and delinquencies.Implement the Commercial Services Strategic Plan, ensuring performance metrics are achieved.Stay informed on business lending terms and practices, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.Collaborate across departments to foster a culture of continuous improvement aligned with our strategic goals.Maintain knowledge of economic trends affecting the credit union's business loan operations and provide feedback for competitive positioning.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Manage the Credit Department staff, ensuring job responsibilities are assigned and completed.Provide feedback and mentoring to team members, conducting performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as necessary.Ensure annual reviews and risk assessments of loans are conducted in a timely manner.Oversee the use of business lending software to optimize department efficiency.Represent the credit union in networking opportunities and industry-related events to foster partnerships and growth.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry certifications.Experience: 5-8 years of similar or related experience, including 3 years of leadership experience.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
