Job Summary
Reporting to the Insulation Finance Director, the Insulation FP&A Manager will be tasked with providing actionable and valuable financial insights to drive achievement of Insulations business objectives.
Insulation FP&A Manager Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Analysis and Reporting - Conduct detailed financial analysis to understand the Insulation BU’s financial performance, including revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and profitability. - Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management, highlighting key financial trends, performance metrics, and areas of concern.Budgeting and Forecasting - Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with department heads to gather inputs and align forecasts with strategic objectives. - Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts, identifying reasons for variances and recommending corrective actions.Business Partnering - Act as a finance business partner to various departments within Insulation BU, providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making. - Participate in cross-functional teams to support strategic projects and initiatives, provide financial modeling and analysis to assess project viability and impact.Pricing and Profitability Analysis - Conduct pricing analysis and model the financial impact of pricing decisions on profitability and market competitiveness. - Perform product/service profitability analysis to identify high and low-margin products and recommend strategies to improve profitability.Investment Appraisal and Capital Planning - Assist in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting financial modeling and analysis to assess return on investment, payback period, and risk. - Support the capital planning process, prioritizing investment projects and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.Plant Cost & Variance Analysis - Analyze costs and expenditures to identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. - Work with departments to implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor their impact on the company's financial performance.
Partner with Plant Controllers and Operations teams to understand and explain performance of multiple production plants by; analyzing operational KPIs and resulting financial performance, providing strategic support, addressing root causes of operation issues.
Identify and/or anticipate areas of opportunity (or risks) at the site and proactively collaborate with key personnel when these risk or opportunities arise. Partner with site controllers on such analysis.
Market and Competitor Analysis - Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor strategies. - Provide insights into market opportunities and threats and their potential financial impact on the company.Process Improvement - Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and analysis. - Participate in the implementation of new financial systems or tools as required.
Team Management & Leadership
Directly supervise, motivate and manage a team
Qualifications/Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other relevant area of study from an accredited university. MBA, CPA, CMA or equivalent is a plus.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, track record of improving business results and processes through new ideas.
Quick learner and capable of translating financial insights into recommendations and actions.
A minimum of 7+ years’ experience in Finance or Accounting
Ability to build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams
Strong organization skills, including ability to handle multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and adapt to frequently changing situations.
Experience in data analysis, modeling and/or financial analysis
Promotes collaboration among team members. Encourages others to cooperate and coordinate efforts
Compensation Range: $90,000 - $130,000 Annually
