Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
Our team owns the network transit services and related network capabilities that unlock customer value across all Kuiper verticals (Government, Consumer, Enterprise). This includes services like public internet access, private cloud connectivity, on-premises customer links, and layer 2 transit. The team partners closely with Kuiper's business units to identify high-value connectivity needs and develop innovative network services to meet customer needs.
Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for driving the technical vision and roadmap for Kuiper's network transport services. This includes:
Defining the core network transport services and APIs that will power connectivity for all Kuiper customers
Working closely with engineering to design and deliver highly scalable, reliable, and performant network capabilities
Ensuring tight alignment between the network services and the needs of Kuiper's vertical business units
Identifying opportunities to create unique, high-value network services that drive adoption and usage of the Kuiper network
Partnering with other Amazon teams like AWS to unlock synergies and deliver seamless networking experiences for customers
Defining the operational model and key performance metrics for the global network transport services
The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in networking and distributed systems, as well as experience driving the strategy and execution of complex infrastructure products. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels are also essential.

A day in the life
You will work directly with customers, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to define Kuiper service offerings via expertly crafted working backwards, business requirements documents which will be translated into product and engineering deliverables.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Experience managing technical products or online services
Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
