We strive to consistently deliver top tier results behind branded product solutions for our community and shareholders.The Global Purchasing Manager ("GPM") will primarily support the Purchasing Director and direct-reports to the same, with responsibilities including supplier negotiations, execution of supplier resourcing plans, completion of supplier profiles and spend analyses, MCS forecasting, preparation of presentations for sourcing events, project oversight, and crisis management. In short, this position is an extension of the Global Components leadership team, with day-to-day activities to be determined based on the needs of the business.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist the Purchasing Director & Purchasing Managers in the development and execution of commodity strategies.Prepare required documentation for supplier meetings and/or negotiations.As needed, take the lead on supplier negotiations and communications related to strategic initiatives.Prepare presentations to management for sourcing events.Generate reporting, including monthly actuals, forecasts, variances, and ad hoc analyses to measure Purchasing's performance; identify financial risks and opportunities for mitigation.Assist in the management of multiple and changing priorities, including short-term initiatives to improve, for example, cash flow and cost recoveries.Build a cohesive steel sourcing strategy, including operational flexibility in the event incumbents are unable to meet their obligations or the company's immediate needs.

Minimum Requirements:Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics or similarExperience:

At least 5 years in a Purchasing / Procurement role with strong track recordSkills:The ideal candidate should be highly organized, have excellent communication skills, and be able to interact with internal and external parties at any/all levels of seniority.The ability to determine the next logical step-and take it-will be key to the candidate's success.Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business will also be essential for success in this role.Must be able to prepare professional presentations, summaries, and project plans.Must be fluent in English.Domestic and international travel may be required, but will not exceed two weeks per month. The occasional one-week business trip is to be expected.
