IPL's 4500 employees also manufacture and market industrial chemicals and fertilizer products & services to customers around the world.What You'll DoAs a Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of Detonating Cord and PETN Manufacturing for the Graham, KY site in a safe and productive manner staying within Dyno Nobel policy and procedures. You will develop plans and strategies and support subassemblies as needed. Other duties include:Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safetyEnsure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulationsLive and foster the IPL Corporate ValuesResponsible for the continuous improvement of the process to achieve future state.Direct activities in area of responsibility to attain maximum plant operating efficiency, product rate and product qualityTrack plant operating KPI's - efficiency, energy usage, on stream time, cost/ton, production, environmental compliance, customer complaints, etc.Manage operation within approved budget for controllable costs. Participate in annual budget process and develop budget for plants within areas of responsibility.Write or participate in developing CEP's for annual CAPEX spending.Facilitate all personnel actions as required (scheduling, recognition and reward, discipline, performance reviews, etc.)Conduct communication meetings.Makes daily inspection of proper operation and condition of plant process and equipment.Ensures all units and areas are kept in clean and orderly fashion.Takes any necessary action to correct and complement findings.Coordinate with maintenance to address needed repair work modifications within areas of responsibility.Maintain environmental compliance within areas of responsibility.Maintain plant in compliance with OSHA PSM Program.Coordinate with laboratory for proper plant quality control.Coordinate with magazine department and customer service to ensure all orders are met on time and in full.

What We're Looking For:Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering required.5+ years of demonstrated management skills in an industrial/manufacturing environment10+ plus years (combined) in one or more of the following industries: energetic materials, chemical refining, or technical manufacturingLean Manufacturing/Six Sigma knowledge preferredAbility to troubleshoot issues in all of the various processes associated with manufacturing.Ability to interact and discuss issues with regulatory compliance officials.Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosivesPositive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
