Duties and responsibilities

Develops and improves warehouse processes and procedures.Supervises shipping activities.Completes shipping tasks as needed.Tracks in-bound and out-bound inventory.Orders new supplies and equipment.Collaborates with the customer service team and other departments.Escalates issues to managers and recommends potential solutions.Ensures the team follows company policies and procedures.Makes sure the team adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety regulations.Handle all products with care to avoid damages and lossOpen bales, crates and other containers using a box cutter.Use pump pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, sit-down hi-lo forklift, stand-up hi-lo forklift and safety ladders to select products from warehouse shelves and prepare pallets.Fill out pre and post trip sheets for forklifts and pallet jacks.Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests and recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed. May also assist in counting of physical inventory.Assist with equipment maintenance, data entry and computer related tasks as neededTake initiative to accomplish open tasks; be proactive and seek additional work when availableSafety: Complete safety training session and pass safety training test at time of hire and on an annual basis.Safety: Act in compliance with safety practices and procedures throughout the warehouse. Report any safety concerns to Warehouse Manager.Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; sweep, dust and mop as needed.Maintain positive work relations; support team work and help coworkers to accomplish team goalsListen and communicate respectfully with employees at all levels within the organization and outside vendorsAttendance; Maintain regular attendance and follow call out and time off procedures as outlined in the handbook.Comply with company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee HandbookThe position includes all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the Night Warehouse team or as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications

2 Yrs. min verifiable manager/supervisor experience overseeing 20 or more employeesSolid computer skills and experience with ops systems with the ability to navigate with confidenceBi-lingualAbility to communicate in a professional and literate mannerAbility to be a leader, take control, own and be accountable for shift operations and associatesAbility to make good/solid business decisionsAbility to trouble shoot, assess situations and think outside the boxAbility to gather, manage and maintain shift reportsAbility to think outside the boxExperience with warehouse safety and compliance as well as OSHA rules & regulationsAbility to learn and perform every position on the shiftAbility to take direction, procedures, protocols and implement them on a daily basis.Ability to assess employee productivity to manage efficiency and costSomeone who can be all business and command the respect and loyalty of the teamPreferred Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalentPrior work experience in a warehouse setting or as a selectorPrior Supervisor TrainingExperience with fork lifts and/or pallet jacks and RF scannersWorking conditions

This role routinely uses equipment such as sit-down and stand-up hi-lo fork lifts, pump and electric pallet jacks, ladders and RF scanner guns.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days of work are Sunday through Thursday. Hours of work are approximately forty (40) or more hours per week. The night shift starts at approximately 6:00pm and ends when workload is complete and trucks are ready for delivery. This position may occasionally require longer hours when workload or project deadlines require it.Travel-
