Your JobThe Market Insights Manager will play a critical role as the analytics partner to create a clear market POV and generate holistic insights for a group of key purchasing categories within Strategic Sourcing & Procurement. The Manager will share learnings and build sustainable knowledge processes and tools that enable an evergreen market POV. The Manager will also be a strategic advisor to Category Leaders, translating market insights to specific strategies and actions plans that will create value and building relationships with stakeholders across the company to make progress.This is a hybrid role based at the GP Center based in downtown Atlanta.Our TeamGeorgia-Pacific's Strategic Sourcing & Procurement ("SS&P") organization is responsible for strategic category management, sourcing and procurement of critical materials & services that support more than 140 locations across the US. The SS&P organization is currently undergoing an exciting transformation with our business partners, building new capabilities that will help identify and capture significant opportunities across pricing, total cost of ownership, and sourcing execution. This effort is a critical element in Georgia-Pacific's continuous transformation. It is an exciting time to be part of a growing team and at the center of the transformation to help mold the future state of the SS&P organization!What You Will DoDrive Holistic Insights Generation and Build Market POVs for Key CategoriesCoordinate with Category Management Leaders to assess current knowledge base and align on where it would create value to close knowledge gaps.Where profitable, build deep understanding of market drivers thru internal & external data analysis (e.g. supply, demand, cost modeling, long-term price mechanisms, near-term price trends).Work with Category Leaders and cross functional teams to build category strategies and to identify & evaluate initiatives.Champion Key Learnings and Build Sustainable Processes and ToolsMonitor key market trends, update POVs, and communicate implications to stakeholders.Work with Category Leaders to maintain a centralized knowledge base for easy reference.Build a network of relationships across Koch and 3rd parties to seek and share knowledge.Serve as Strategic Advisor to Category LeadersBuild mental models and frameworks that connect the dots between insight and action.Present market POVs and strategies to commercial and operations leaders to foster alignment and progress on key priorities.Prepare for and participate in supplier negotiations.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor's degree.At least 3 years work experience in management consulting, a strategy-focused role, data analytics, or finance.Experience developing points of view, building cost models, and evaluating complex problems.Proficient at building presentations and communicating effectively to various levels and groups.What Will Put You AheadMBA or advanced degree in finance, economics, or other quantitative discipline.Experience collaborating in a large, highly matrixed organization (leadership roles a plus).Manufacturing industry and/or sourcing experience.Experience interacting with executive-level leadership.At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
