Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Manager Aircraft Manager 1 to join our team in support of the Global Hawk Range Hawk program.
This position will be located at our Grand Sky Autonomous Capabilities Center in Grand Sky, ND.

Position Overview:
The Global Hawk Range Hawk program requires a Ground Operations Manager to lead aircraft maintenance and aircraft modification at our Grand Sky facility. The role of the Ground Operations Manager includes being responsible for all facets of aircraft maintenance and modification to include: scheduling of people and events, execution, tracking, technical troubleshooting, validation testing, and reporting. The role also includes being responsible for estimating and forecasting labor, training, material, and equipment needed to perform task objectives.
Roles and responsibilities (not limited to):
Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering and mission/quality assurance to ensure aircraft maintenance and modification records are documented as required to achieve ground readiness for airworthiness release.
Effectively communicate required resources and equipment, schedule and budget, and task execution to program management, site leadership, and customer/government representatives as required.
Functional homeroom duties for a team of technicians which include attending functional staff meetings, management of personnel (performance reviews, goal setting and coaching), coordination of job assignments, staffing, recruiting, developing process improvement plans and providing input).
The Section Manager duties will require 10-20% of the manger’s time.
Must be able to understand all applicable site and company procedures in regards to ground and flight operations to ensure a safe and effective environment.
Must have excellent communication skills and be capable of working in a matrix environment with multiple sources of management guidance.
Must be able to support occasional travel.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor’s and 5 years related experience OR H.S. and 9 years related experience.
Must have ability to obtain and maintain Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
Ability to travel ~10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of unmanned air vehicles
Experience conducting aircraft ground operations including maintenance and modifications for military jet aircraft
Experience performing and leading activities that comply with DCMA Work Instruction 8210, AFI 21.101, or comparable aircraft controlled operating procedures
Familiarity with aircraft paint booth operations
Experience interacting with government, military, or other organizations and/or personnel

Salary Range:
$99,400 - $149,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
