JOB SUMMARY

Advance the riding experience for Off-Road by delivering new, improved, and differentiated products through our Parts, Garments, and Accessories (PG&A) Aftermarket business. The Kolpin & Aftermarket Sr. Product Leader is responsible for leading the product planning, product lifecycle management and portfolio management for Kolpin and leading product for our Aftermarket brand portfolio within the PG&A Off-Road Category business. This role works cross functionally across the enterprise from product concept, to developing commercially viable product plans, all the way through supporting marketing with launch to ensure the success and customer satisfaction of new products.

This is an individual contributor position (non-manager).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide product leadership for the Kolpin brand

Lead the Aftermarket product team for the Aftermarket brands of Kolpin, Pro Armor, and Trail Tech including product planning for our omni-channel sales strategy, portfolio product strategy, new product introduction, competitive benchmarking, pricing, and product retail sell sheets

Deliver financial metrics led by the P&L results with responsibility for accessory revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, and inventory.

Coordinate within the enterprise to build an integrated product plan that best leverages OEM and Aftermarket brands and resources to improve the riding experience for our customers

Play key role in building global long range product plans and align organization through highly integrated planning & process integration; LRPP, integrated PDP reviews, design, test & validation rigor, PLM.

Champions consumer insights, product / idea generation & planning. Analyzes market data, competitive activity, demographic & lifestyle trends to identify market opportunities that align with the strategic objectives of the business.

Develops roadmap for new, innovative & signature accessories that support the target customer and enhance the product ownership and lifestyle experience.

Communicates & collaborates with engineering and product development teams to ensure timely and effective accessory product development and product changes aligned with whole goods product development.

Manages relationships and processes with supplier partners and engineering to ensure cost competitiveness, timely delivery, supply and orders to customers (dealers & consumers).

Cabs and enclosures technology development, industrial design and competitive product development trends to foster innovation, identify future opportunities and competitive threats.

Identifies new opportunities for further expansion of the PG&A division in new segments via organic development, strategic alliances/partnerships and acquisitions.

Represents division and company as spokesperson on occasion; attends various industry events including trade association meetings.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Bachelor’s Degree required

5+ years relevant brand, marketing and/or product development experience.

Strong project management and analytical skills. Knowledge and experience with quantitative and qualitative market research tools. Strong customer, brand and channel experience. Ability to work with financials and present business cases.

Excellent presentation skills. Ability to present to and persuade a wide range of audiences from Polaris leadership to members of the press to dealers.

Cross-functional influencing capabilities, able to work well across and up and down the organization. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to use product competently. Extensive knowledge of powersports and/or automotive-like products a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Standard office environment. Regular trips to key suppliers, Polaris engineering and manufacturing facilities.

Some travel (primarily throughout US & Canada)
