Position Summary
University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) is dedicated to soliciting the private funding necessary to support the strategic goals of the University in teaching, learning, and research. The personnel of UDAR work university-wide as well as within individual schools and colleges of the University to discover, motivate, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni, parents, faculty, and friends for immediate, long-range, and future financial support, through gifts and pledges to the University, for critical operations such as student aid, faculty support, academic and research program development, and facilities and infrastructure. UDAR's endeavors raise funds for immediate University use and also for the University's endowment.
The Senior Administrative Manager serves as a key member of the University’s development team responsible for overseeing the coordination of the key activities and functions of the development office. Provide direction for the development administrative team to ensure efficient and accurate execution of managing gift tracking and processing, schedules and travel, budget and financial planning, donor and academic leadership correspondence, management of the administrative team, and special projects. Serve as Development's liaison to advancement services and external organizations on a variety of contributions/grants while ensuring responsiveness.

Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Master's DegreeRequired Experience:5+ years progressively responsible experience in nonprofit administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience managing office operations and staff, knowledge of gift processing and gift accounting, planning and implementing projects and activities, and collecting and analyzing dataPreferred Experience:5+ years experience within higher education advancement or proven experience in nonprofit administrationRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
Requires excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; strong research and writing skills; and ability to effectively communicate sensitive information verbally and in writing to a diverse population
Good judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidence are essential
Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and experience with financial software (travel and expense platforms, etc.) and donor databases/CRMs
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00 to USD $110,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.NYU aims to be among the greenest urban campuses in the country and carbon neutral by 2040.
