HR Generalist

Salary negotiable based on Education and Experience ($70K to $85K)

If you are an experienced HR Generalist (HRG), we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HRG with a history of success. The HRG acts as a key resource for the Region by partnering with regional business leaders in the assessment of business needs and by adapting HR practices, processes, procedures, and services in response to those needs. This position will support the Western Region including CO and Idaho. This is an in-office position.

The HRG will work closely with management and employees providing hands-on and strategic input, insight, and advice on people-related issues: talent management, employee relations, coaching/development, compensation, organizational development, training and regulatory compliance. The HRG will play an essential role in rolling out and supporting a variety of HR programs/talent initiatives to meet both Regional and National objectives aligned with the company's overall business plan.

Duties/Responsibilities:Leads recruitment processes with Regional Business Unit leaders to understand staffing needs and partners with the Talent Acquisition Team to drive timely and efficient recruitment and retention efforts.Coordinate recruiting efforts with business partners to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained, including development of employment advertisements and/or working with third-party staffing partners as needed.Support the day-to-day operations of the HR Department and provide advice, assistance, counseling, and follow-up on Company policies and procedures. May be responsible for administration of a variety of programs and processes for their assigned groups, including leave administration, exit interviews, HR policies, engagement, new employee orientations, local outreach efforts and employee recognition and engagement programs.Advise and consult with managers regarding employee concerns around policies, practices, programs, performance management, and terminations. Responsible for investigations and resolution of employee relations issues as needed. Anticipates problems whenever possible and develops, recommends and initiates appropriate steps for resolution/remediation.Collaborates to ensure HR practices are aligned with business needs and makes recommendations when changes are appropriate. Partners cross-regionally to ensure consistent approach to execution of programs and policies.Assists with the implementation of the HR cyclical calendar of events throughout the year. This includes but is not limited to goal setting, annual benefit enrollments, well-being initiatives, end of year performance evaluation and aligned rewards.Provides ongoing HR support, guidance, and coaching/counseling to managers regarding people plans and programs.Provide business leadership, direction and guidance to support strategic direction and growth for all assigned organizational units.Facilitates and leads activities relating to specific development initiatives for the region/department to grow talent.Completes special projects by clarifying project objectives, setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information and fulfilling transactions.Advise and train managers and employees in a variety of HR and Business-related skills and subjects.Utilizes data and insights to drive business decision making.Participates in Business Unit staff meetings as required.Communicates weekly with HR and Operational Partners to ensure alignment of initiatives and activities.Perform other duties as assigned or required.Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in related field and 3 to 5 years' experience in an HR Generalist capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior Construction experience preferred.Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Demonstrated success in recruitment and retention initiatives.Strong/Advanced MS Office and Excel skills required, HRIS experience is a must to include custom report writing.Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues without detailed instruction or procedural guidance.Demonstrates business acumen and the ability to partner to create people strategies which position the business to win.Technology proponent who uses information to improve decision-making and drive operational efficiency.Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.Skill in project management, planning, organizing and prioritizing work assignments to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced and changing environment.Demonstrated ability to protect confidential and proprietary information, setting professional boundaries as needed.Ability to read, analyze and interpret a variety of policies, procedures, statistical data, regulations and professional publications in order to propose changes that increase management effectiveness.Ability to develop templates and forms for HR requirements and requirements using MS Office/Adobe tools.Ability to travel as needed both in state and out of state.Highly effective communicator.Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift to 20 pounds occasionally.
