Hands-on Technical Security Skills: The candidate must have direct experience with security tools and technologies such as vulnerability scanning (Qualys, Tenable/Nessus, Rapid7), SIEM monitoring (AlienVault, Splunk, QRadar), cloud security, DLP, IAM, and MDM Breadth of Security Responsibilities: The analyst will need to handle a variety of security tasks, with vulnerability management, SIEM monitoring, and secure internet access being the top priorities. They should be comfortable with this breadth of security responsibilities. Security Compliance and Governance: The analyst must have general knowledge of security compliance frameworks like HIPAA/HITECH and SOC2, as well as experience in security risk identification, analysis, and mitigation Certifications (NOT Required) But NICE to Have: certifications for an IT Security Analyst in this role are:
