Location :St. Louis MOCity :ChesterfieldState :Missouri (US-MO)Country :United States (US)Requisition Number :37362A Day in the Life:The Trade Spend Manager with be responsible for overseeing and managing North American activities related to funds given to customers, distributors, brokers and retailers for selling products to end users as well as those related to non-conformance to customer supply chain service levels. The management of Trade Spend will include the promotional activity of billbacks, rebates, broker commissions, trade show spend and performance-related penalties for the Foodservice and Food Ingredient businesses managing a total dollar value of $50MM. This includes oversight of the outsourced activity to the Bunge Business Services (BBS). The Trade Spend Manager will manage the annual budget and create reporting and analysis of margin and effectiveness of programs, accruals and accounting for promotional trade spend for US & Canadian customers. This role will work to understand, keep current and ensure policies and procedures are adhered to understand and manage associated risks of trade spend programs and execution.What You'll Be Doing:Manage Outsourced Trade Spend Activitymanage output performance of the BBS team by defining service level agreements, SOPs and execution to defined levels for US Billbacks and future outsourced activities. Work with Sales and Distributors on identified trends of non-adherence to promotional programs and funds recovery.US and Canadian Rebates & Commissionsworking with the sales, pricing team, and contracts groups within the business to collect information, analyze, calculate, and process rebates and commissions. Plan and execute future transition of activities to BBS.Performance Penalties Oversightprovide oversight, reporting and trend analysis of customer penalty activity. Work with Customer Service to deliver timely research of assessed penalties and sales team to manage and recover invalid deductions.Budget and Reporting of Customer Trade Spendmanage annual budget and create reporting and analysis of margin and effectiveness of programs, accruals and accounting for promotional trade spend for US & Canadian customers.Process Improvementsidentify process improvements within areas of responsibility and actively participate in new technology evaluation, system implementations and planned upgrades.Projects / Ad-Hoc Request Perform special projects and information requests as assigned to meet deadlines.Policies and Risk AssessmentUnderstand, keep current and ensure policies and procedures are adhered to understand and manage risk of trade spend programs and execution. Liaise with Sales, AR/Accounts Payable, Customer Service and BBS teams on issues and concerns.Skills/Experience Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Accounting or related field. Master of Business Administration a plus.5-7 years in similar role working with customer-related business processesaccounts receivable, credit, pricing &/or customer service.2-3 years directly with Trade Spend would be an assetAbove average knowledge of business processes related to accounting (GL entries), sales contracts, sales order management, invoicing and customer deductions.Familiarity with CBOT exchange and fundamentals of futures and basis trading.Experience with working with and managing activities executed by remote/outsourced teams.Proficient computer skills in SAP, Tableau (BI) and Microsoft Excel functionality used for analytics and reporting.Detail oriented with strong analytical, mathematical, verbal and written communication skills.
