Job Summary:
We are seeking a strong Business Analyst with a data and SQL background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in gathering requirements, developing Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), and working closely with both business and technical teams. This role is not for a core Data Engineer, but for someone who has strong analytical skills with a good understanding of data concepts and SQL.
Experience in Insurance Domain is required.
This is a HYBRID role in Chicago, IL. Requires working from office 2-3 days per week.
Role & Responsibilities Overview:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.Develop detailed BRDs and FRDs to support project initiatives.Conduct data analysis and provide insights using SQL.Work closely with technical teams to ensure the data requirements are clearly understood.Assist in the design and validation of reports and data-driven solutions.Translate business needs into functional specifications and ensure successful implementation.Perform quality assurance to ensure alignment with requirements.Ensure timely delivery of deliverables and milestones in line with project timelines.Candidate Profile:
Bachelors/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to applyExperience: 4-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst with exposure to the Insurance DomainProficient in SQL and capable of performing complex queries for data analysis.Strong understanding of databases, data management, and reporting.Experience with BRD and FRD documentation.Support project management activities by providing input on timelines, dependencies, and risks related to business requirements.Good critical thinking and problem solving skillsStrong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to workOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skillsAble to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challengesIs able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
