In the role of Electrical Engineer, you'll bring your designs from concept to production, shaping the future of our cutting-edge products. Utilize your experience with embedded microprocessors, microcontroller-based systems, and high-speed printed circuit design in a meaningful way. You'll also lead the design and testing of digital and analog control systems for RFID and various other products, ensuring optimal performance. Responsibilities:Establishes requirements for highly complex electrical design projects and may lead a team responsible for establishing requirements. Insure correct features are incorporated first in the projects.Architects and designs highly complex electrical projects. Completes all phases of the projects. Follows through on all in-process and final inspection activitiesDevelops and applies technical and quality improvementsCreates new programs, technologies and solutions based on novel or unique ideas. Insures new ideas and methodologies are documented for use by hardware teamsUses status as a knowledge leader in hardware design and functional knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines and program management to provide technical leadership to a given programDefines requirements for and may design complex new tools to aid in the analysis and solving of complex problemsInitiates cross-company collaboration and develops positive relationships with other engineering disciplinesExercises judgment (within broadly defined policies and practices) in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining resultsMay coordinate the activities of other personnelNetworks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.Interacts with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.Represent the organization as the principal customer contact and often performs project leadershipQualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required5+ years of relevant experienceExperience in embedded system design & developmentExperienced in DSP/ARM processor code development, integration, and testingSkilled in C, C++, and pythonExperience in design of digital and analog systems and various other productsStrong hardware and system knowledgeBasic knowledge in RF, test bench setupPreferred Qualifications:
Master's degree preferredProven record of successful project contributionsStrong participation in architecture and platform developmentManufacturing and cross-functional team interaction and support for project completionRegulatory testing for non-RF requirements, debug and standards support.Basic knowledge in wireless communicationsStrong hardware and system knowledgeStrong team player and communicatorBroad knowledge of modern digital systemsExperience with the constraints imposed by battery operated systemsExperience with a variety of common digital interfaces at the PHY level, including RS232, USB, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, SDIO, etc.Expert in the use of test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.Working knowledge of PCB schematic capture - Cadence knowledge is a plusResearch and Development experiencePublications, patents

USD 117700.00 - USD 176500.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
