Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalentA minimum of three (3) years' experience in food service with training in management, quantity preparation, nutrition, marketing, and record keepingServSafe or Professional Food Manager Certification

Performance Responsibilities:
Cooperates with the Director, Principal, and school staff in operating the Food Service program as an educational asset in the school program.Interviews and selects qualified Food & Nutrition Services employees with the approval of the Director.Evaluates and makes recommendations to the Director for reappointments of food service employees.Instructs personnel regarding federal, state, and county school food service procedures, policies and laws.Maintains high standards of sanitation in compliance with Department of Health and Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points procedures (HACCP) procedures.Monitors and records temperatures of all relevant kitchen areas and appliances to ensure safety.Requests repairs to equipment and facility in a timely manner.Creates and maintains a professional, positive and customer-oriented atmosphere.Establishes duties and posts work schedules for all employees and provides on-the-job training to personnel in order to develop maximum efficiency and ensure safety.Supervises and instructs employees in the correct use, care, and maintenance of equipment.Calculates and prepares market orders to maintain appropriate inventory.Inspects all deliveries for weight, quantity, condition, and adherence to specifications.Facilitates proper rotation of all inventory.Ensures use of standardized recipes and portions.Supervises cashiers and assumes responsibility for all monies collected and makes bank deposits daily.Monitors doneness temperatures of all offerings and records as appropriate.Completes Production Plans daily.Keeps all records and completes all reports as required by the Food & Nutrition Services Office.Monitors kitchen for potential and actual emergencies and communicates with supervisors as appropriate.Reports all injuries and accidents to the Food & Nutrition Services Office immediately and forwards necessary written reports as required, including Workers' Compensation documentation.Prepares payroll reports on time and forwards to the Food & Nutrition Services Office with necessary attachments such as overtime, leave forms, etc.Is present or has his/her designee to be present anytime the kitchen is to be used after school hours.Participates in in-service training programs and attends all scheduled manager's meetings.Exhibits high standards of work habits, grooming, and sanitation.Ensures safety of kitchen daily.Performs other job-related functions as assigned.
