Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join our Famous team. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise in supply chain management to optimize inventory levels and enhance operational efficiency. You will assist in execution of system updates, manage specific parameter changes, and maintain the integrity of our forecasting systems. Your strong collaboration skills with the sales team will be essential for delivering accurate forecast updates and ensuring alignment throughout the organization.
This will be an in-office opportunity at our Akron, Ohio location.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Planning & Forecasting:
• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and sales input.
• Collaborate with the sales team to gather insights and updates that influence demand forecasting.
System Management:
• Assist in managing system updates related to planning and ERP tools.
• Execute mass maintenance changes to optimize operational efficiency for item linking, forecast changes, stock flags, and others.
Data Analysis:
• Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement in the forecasting process.
• Recommend changes to processes including but not limited to procurement path, global system settings, and roll out of new branches.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Act as a liaison between the sales team, inventory management, and supply chain operations to ensure alignment on forecasted demand.
• Facilitate consensus meetings to review and adjust forecasts based on collective insights.
Process Improvement:
• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance forecasting processes and tools.
• Stay updated on industry best practices in demand planning and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in supply chain analysis, preferably in a wholesale or retail environment.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, etc.) and supply chain software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with ERP systems and planning software.
• Familiarity with demand planning and forecasting techniques.
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is a plus.
