Position Title: Cyber Capability Development Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Cyber Capability Development Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide comprehensive support in the development, analysis, and acquisition oversight of cyber capabilities. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping operational and technical architectures, conducting thorough analyses, and offering expert guidance on cyber technologies and capabilities for both offensive and defensive cyber operations in support of Assistant Secretary of Defense for Science and Technology .
Responsibilities:
- Support the development, analysis, and acquisition oversight of cyber capabilities, ensuring alignment with mission objectives and strategic goals.
- Assist in the development of operational and technical architectures, conducting mission, functional, and requirements analysis as required.
- Contribute to materiel solution analysis, including the evaluation of alternatives and cost and performance analysis, and incorporate analysis results into the Cyber Risk Management Tool (CRMT).
- Support efficiency studies and assessments related to the performance, scalability, and interoperability of cyber capabilities for cyberspace operations.
- Provide subject matter expertise on key cyber technologies and capabilities, offering insights and recommendations for the development of effective cyber solutions.
- Develop, author, and present documents, briefings, or presentations of results and recommendations on a regular basis, typically weekly.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to continue the development of the CRMT, ensuring critical cyber vulnerabilities across weapons systems and defense critical infrastructure are tracked effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in cyber capability development, analysis, or acquisition oversight.
- Strong understanding of operational and technical architectures, mission analysis, and requirements analysis.
- Experience in materiel solution analysis, including evaluation of alternatives and cost and performance analysis.
- Expertise in key cyber technologies and capabilities for offensive and defensive cyber operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with cyber risk management tools and processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with OSD processes or DoD policies, instructions, and directives related to the Information Operations Cyber
- TS/SCI required
