Internship Overview:

This paid internship experience is an opportunity to help drive business results in an environment designed to promote and reward diversity, innovation and leadership. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program.
**Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and be available from May 27, 2025 through August 15, 2025. The Procurement Governance Department works to create centralized practices throughout the supply chain footprint. The team covers areas such as Logistics, Data Governance, Transportation Planning, Store Planning and more. The Logistics team supports the strategy of inbound asset movement logistics across the business and helps to set up outbound operations with third party carriers. The team works heavily with transportation managers and distribution center leadership on strategic alignment to streamline processes and increase efficiency. Other key stakeholders include the internal finance team, the Procurement In Stock team, the Procurement Services department, category managers, and the Vendor Management department.
Responsible for evaluating, recommending, and implementing cost effective Transportation options and integrated Logistics systems and processes across Ahold Delhaize America. Uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance Logistics processes. Collaborates across all Ahold Delhaize America banners in support of each company's unique business strategies. Collaborates with internal and external partners to guide, provide expertise, and recommend solutions that highlight cost and other holistic impacts and trade-offs to the Ahold Delhaize America Supply Chain. Provides analytical expertise and guidance for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, finance, supply chain or related fieldExcellent organizational, planning, influence, communication, and presentation skillsSelf-motivated and persuasive in presenting and selling ideas and executing their implementationStrong critical thinking, structured problem solving, and analytical skillsStrong communication, presentation, organization, and follow-up skillsStrong quantitative and qualitative decision-making techniques
