Prepares purchasing documents within state guidelines, regulations, policies and procedures Uses state accounting system for data entry, documentation, monthly reporting and procurement processes Uses offender banking system for offender account processes Attends training to keep current on purchasing guidelines, regulations, policies and procedures Communicates professionally and proficiently with internal and external contacts Maintains accurate purchasing and vendor information records Identifies and clarifies specifications of goods and services being procured Resolves problems arising from inconsistencies and errors Accurately performs accounting coding of goods and services procured Takes accurate equipment readings as related to procurement needs.

Hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.Minimum Qualification Requirements

Graduation from high school or G.E.D. and experience equal to two years of full-time clerical work in purchasing, accounting, budgeting, or storekeeping;ORan equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of accredited post high school education for each year of the required experience;ORemployees with current continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to eighteen months of work as Clerk, Clerk Advanced, Clerk Specialist, Accounting Clerk 1, 2 and 3, or Storekeeper 1, 2 and 3.
