Authentic is changing insurance distribution. Instead of purchasing insurance through traditional carriers (The Hartford, Liberty Mutual, etc.), small businesses can now purchase insurance through Vertical Software Providers , Franchisors, Associations - all powered by Authentic!
Authentic is a captive insurance platform. We allow partners to embed an insurance offering and monetize both commission and underwriting profit. Authentic's partners include Mindbody, R365, SpotOn, theCut, ZenPlanner and Xplor Technologies.
Who we are looking for:
A founding designer to manage all design elements across our organization. The ideal candidate excels in simplicity and speed, turning complex interfaces into clean, intuitive designs. We're a thoughtful and driven team looking to redefine the insurance industry, focused on impactful work, relationships, and growth, and we're looking for someone excited to help offer better insurance products for SMBs.
Role Overview & ResponsibilitiesOwn design & UX for core products, partner marketing, and Authentic branding. Build and manage design systems and design foundations and principles within our organization. This person will create the mold for future designers at our org.Focus on designing products that extend our partners' offerings that drive growthCollaborate with Product & Engineering to break down ambiguous problems prioritize impactful work and determine the right problems to solveSweat the details, strive for simplicity, and tie together interconnected projectsBe opinionated and leverage a direct line to our customers to get insights. Explore solutions, create prototypes, and dive into user feedback/data to identify points of friction and opportunities for improvement for every initiativeAdvocate for our users by continuously iterating on and evolving our core products and experiences. Identify areas of improvement and deliver value to customers every dayUse customer insights, prototypes, and data to improve every initiative.The ideal candidate has:
5+ years in tech/startups or digital product agencies (a fintech focus is a bonus)A strong portfolio, demonstrating;Proven experience in delivering commercially successful digital products and features, in a fast paced environment (financial products is a bonus).Expert understanding of Figma, and other rapid prototyping software.Experience in building, contributing to, and evolving design systems.High quality execution of key graphic design principles, including; typography, color theory, layout (content hierarchy, whitespace & rhythm).An ability to write copy with the user in mind.
A data-driven mindset, strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid work ethic.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
