Job Overview:
The Hotel Food and Beverage Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering a dynamic, positive, and results-driven environment for the Food and Beverage team across our diverse range of innovative restaurant concepts. This role requires strong personal organization, genuine hospitality, and a commitment to staff well-being. The ideal candidate should possess an understanding of and ability to implement contemporary luxury/lifestyle standards.
Key Responsibilities:Coordinate daily pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials and offerings effectively.Actively manage F&B operations, ensuring quality service and engaging with guests and staff during operations.Address and follow up with unsatisfied guests, handling complaints promptly and effectively.Organize and lead daily pre-shift meetings with the F&B teams to ensure alignment and motivation.Assist in creating and maintaining procedural protocols for F&B Operations, ensuring consistency and efficiency.Maintain daily set up and breakdown in line with the Kelly Wearstler defined aesthetic, ensuring adherence to brand standards.Support in coordinating, setting up, and managing Special Events, ensuring seamless execution.Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards, promoting a culture of excellence.Assist in completing daily, weekly, and monthly management administrative duties, including operations reports, financial documentation, guest correspondence, human resources/staff management paperwork, operations evaluations, standard operating procedures, safety and sanitation checklists, ordering and inventory documentation, and PR/marketing tasks.Additional Functions:
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other department heads to develop and implement innovative menu concepts and offerings.Implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge in liquor, wine, and beer.Conduct regular performance evaluations for F&B staff and provide constructive feedback for improvement.Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue generation and profitability in F&B outlets.Oversee and manage the hotel's food and beverage budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and excellence among F&B staff members.Act as a brand ambassador, representing the hotel in industry events and networking opportunities.Skills/Knowledge Required:
Strong knowledge of liquor, wine, and beer.Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.Proactive attitude with strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to motivate and inspire others to work cooperatively towards common goals.Flexible schedule, willing to work shift duties including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically to overcome challenges.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience:
Over 3 years of hospitality experience, with at least 2 years of previous experience in a similar managerial position preferred.
Licenses or Certificates:
ServSafe, RBS, & TIPS certified or willingness to obtain certification.
