In this role you will be responsible for ensuring Related Affordable is operating in compliance with all affordable housing program guidelines (LIHTC, PBS8, PBV, RAD, etc.), regulatory agreements, and company policies and procedures. You will perform a wide variety of tasks directly related to compliance training, policy development and oversight of affordable housing communities for a portfolio of 1300+ units. This position is characterized by a high degree of initiative, responsibility, accountability and ability to work congenially with a wide variety of individuals and government entities.

Regulatory Compliance : Monitor and implement changes in HUD and LIHTC regulations and requirements. Act as EIV Coordinator and SAVE Administrator.File Review & Audits:
Independently review and approve move-in files to ensure applicants meet income and program eligibility criteria. Participate in file audits to confirm compliance with program requirements.Training & Support:
Provide training and support to site staff on compliance-related questions and program regulations.Policy Development:
Develop and update policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with all regulatory agreements and requirements.Tenant File Maintenance:
Maintain accurate tenant files and computer records in accordance with HUD and LIHTC regulations.Eligibility & Processing:
Determine financial eligibility for new admissions into affordable programs and process new applicants.Audit Corrections:
Assist with reviewing corrections and correspondence related to 8823's.Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned.Compensation:
Salary:
$85,000 - $92,000 yearlyBonus:

Who We Are Looking For:
Experience:
3-5 years of hands-on reglatory compliance experience with Project Based Section 8 HUD, LIHTC, and other CA affordable housing program compliance is
REQUIRED .Reporting to and/or working with agencies such as HUD, TCAC, CalHFA, HOME, USDA, HCD and investors.Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/training/experience.Certifications:
COS or TCS certification required.HCCP certification preferred.Skills:
Knowledge of HUD 4350.3, EIV, LIHTC income limits and rent calculations, Fair Housing, Real Estate Licensing.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Realpage Onesite.Attributes:
Community awareness, ability to build trust with diverse communities, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, goal-oriented, strong work ethic, perseverance, and integrity.Must be able to
work onsite 5 days a week in Oakland , and travel as needed, to other properties throughout the Bay area.
