The Director we are searching for will need to be able to execute the Vistalicious Healthy Lifestyle Program. This Vistalicious cluinary experience emphazies the connection between great food and great health, offering a menu rich in fresh, modern cuisine. With a focus on whole foods, organic vegetables, and grass-fed beef, all sourced locally and prepared from scratch, our Culinary Services Director will need to ensure that every meal is both delicious and nourishing.

8 hours a day 40 hours a week
Salary - Exempt Position
Purpose:
To enhance residents well-being by providing fulfillment in the dining experience so residents have a better quality of life.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Menu planningSupervising staffMaintaining inventoryMaintaining budget controlParticipating in council meetingsOrientation of new employeesNon-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
DishesServing foodCleaning kitchenOperating kitchen equipmentCooking
Educational Requirements
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Experience
1-2 years of previous experience with food management, working with specialized diets, menu planning and working with geriatrics preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with residents, staff, customers on a one-on-one basis or in a group setting. Must be able to speak, read and write using Basic English skills.
Physical Demands
Some lifting required such as stocking food that is received from truck and sweeping and mopping the floors.
Additional Information
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
