How this role drives the company forward:The Human Resources Generalist (HR Generalist) is responsible for providing a wide range of support across all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, file and database management, training, benefits, payroll administration, and events. This role works under general guidance and is expected to maintain professionalism and confidentiality while creating trust and developing relationships with all employees of the company or prospective employees.
The Human Resources Generalist is an on-site role located in San Jose, CA.
Approximately 10% travel may be required.
How you will make an impact:In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide dedicated support across all HR functional areas. You will spend most of your time supporting recruitment efforts, on-boarding new employees, completing administrative tasks and data entry, as well as processing biweekly payroll. You will assist with all HR events, as well as participate (of course!). You should thrive on taking ownership of projects/tasks, seeing your work through to completion, following-up on inquiries or investigating issues, and documenting processes. We are looking for an HR Generalist who is approachable, will build relationships and establish trust, and can effectively manage competing priorities while driving results.
What will you do:Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.Coordinates full-cycle recruitment. Maintains and monitors the applicant tracking system, communication with agencies/recruitment agencies, and the referral award program. Conducts new hire orientation training and administers the new hire survey. May assist with scheduling interviews, as needed.Completes all data entry actions. Maintains accurate and current human resource files, records, and documentation. Audits employee personnel records and follows record retention guidelines. Maintains job descriptions for all positions/employees.Provides training on the hiring process, interviewing candidates, and the annual work hours and wages training.Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation.Assists in the administration of the benefit program and processing invoices. Maintains records and knowledge of insurance coverage plans to assist employees.Assists in the administration of immigration services and file maintenance.Processes biweekly payroll.Assists with all HR, company, and department/team events as needed. HR participation is required for all applicable events.Provides backup support to other HR team roles.This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.How will you get here?
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in human resources management or business administration is desired.Minimum 5 years' related experience with a bachelor's degree or 3 years and a master's degree.Good verbal and written communication skills.Developed organizational skills and high attention to detail.Good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.Completes duties with minimal supervision, ability to work under pressure, communicate with all levels of personnel, good listening skills, team player, and patience in explaining sometimes technical information.Ability to prioritize work and see items through to completion.Good understanding of laws and procedures relative to HR management.You are amazing if you have:
