Principal Software Developer

Oracle, Santa Clara, California, us, 95053

Job Description

We are the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Platform Integration (PINT) team and part of Enterprise Engineering Services Organization. We focus on tool development and operations of OCI cloud lab environments. Labs are pre-production environments and are important to Oracle as they provide teams a place to integrate and validate their cloud services before production. Alloy Lab in particular provides Oracle Partners a way to manage their own customers independently of Oracle and built using OCI.

As an IC4 Developer, you’ll be using your programming skills to set up, configure, customize, validate and automate all aspects of Alloy lab and its Disaster Recovery environments. Your Computer Science foundations along with your coding ability and problem solving skills will be essential. The experiences we are looking for include Python, Java, scripting, Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Terraform, docker, Selenium among others. In OCI PINT Lab team, we are also expecting experience with System integration, Failover, Disaster recovery, Scalability, Networks, Security, Load Balancing, Databases, Weblogic, Oracle Fusion Application, Oracle Integration Service, and other important technologies of the software industry. Work is complex and rewarding. In a typical day you could be coding new features, executing new configurations, troubleshooting and recommending solutions to lab issues, and working closely with junior and senior Engineers and Managers towards a common goal.

You should be willing to quickly learn Oracle cloud technologies. However, earlier exposure to cloud infrastructure environments, software development framework, and Oracle cloud services as well as “Infrastructure as a code” tools like Terraform are a good plus. Being customer-centered, a technical problem solver, a team player, and having a mindset of operational excellence are huge differentiators. Come join us!
