----Job Description---- * Location: Vancouver, Washington * Type: Contract * Job #7874 Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. The System Administrator 3 position will provide operating system support for reliable enterprise servers, including backup recovery, performance tuning, upgrades/patches, maintenance, troubleshooting, permissions, and file sharing. This role installs, configures, and supports management-approved LAN, WAN, and Internet systems or segments, ensuring network availability for all system users through monitoring and maintenance. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA. Pay range: $45.64 - $65.20 Benefits: * Paid holidays: 11 * PTO: Starting at 10 days * Sick Leave: Up to 56 hours per year (prorated based on start date) * EAP: Employee Assistance Program * Benefit Options Available: Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, DCA, LPFSA, HSA, Group Life/AD&D, Voluntary Life/AD&D, Voluntary Short-Term Disability, Voluntary Long-Term Disability, Voluntary Critical Illness, Voluntary Accident, 401k (immediately eligible for employee and employer contributions - employer match up to 4%) * Other benefits include the following: Calm App, Access Perks Responsibilities: * With Manager technical lead oversight, use professional level skills/ knowledge to perform system administration of the following systems, including the following: * Configuring applicable software and systems, maintaining documentation, installing/updating/removing software, applying change control processes and procedures, planning, and preparing for future growth, troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and performing system-related training for the following systems: * Physical server infrastructure. * End-user computing systems, i.e. workstations and laptops. * Windows Server and infrastructure, i.e. active directory, group policy, PKI, etc. * Linux servers and virtual appliances (e.g., CentOS, RedHat, etc.). * Network management, monitoring and access control technologies (SolarWinds Observability, Cisco Identity Services Engine, RSA SecureID) * Log collection and reporting tools (e.g., Splunk Enterprise, SolarWinds Kiwi Syslog) * Vulnerability scanning, assessment and remediation tools. * Support, develop and maintain on-prem GIT servers and repositories. * Implementation and maintenance of least privileged and role-based access control models. * Design and maintain patching, repository, and software management solutions. * VMware Virtualization infrastructure (e.g., virtual machines, virtual appliances, virtual host infrastructure). * Configuration management technologies and best practices (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, Microsoft Configuration Manager, etc.). * Proficient coding/scripting experience (Python or PowerShell). * Design and support baseline hardening configurations and exceptions for Linux and Microsoft Operating Systems. * With Manager oversight and approval provide the following support: * Research, test, and draft / document standardized technical procedures for the deployment of server and workstation computer hardware and associated operating systems; organize, store, and dispose of superseded documents in accordance with Information Governance & Lifecycle Management (IGLM) standards. * Perform regular assessments of newly discovered vulnerabilities on a wide range of operational network devices, computer systems devices and various software packages. Document patch and vulnerability applicability assessments and recommend vulnerability mitigation options.
