About this Position: The Senior Parts & Accessory Planner II represents the voice of the customer and leads AHM consensus in parts & accessory projects, with the goal of ensuring competitiveness necessary to achieve sales volume targets and profitability. Manage the analysis and reporting on market trends and conditions that may have an impact on company products and services across multiple product lines. Conduct specific PS&P parts & accessory product research that supports parts and accessory strategy creation, lifecycle planning and specific planning towards development start. Product lines include 2W-MC/Scooter, 4W- SxS/ATV, PE and Marine. Responsibilities include: Develops and conducts complex research assignments to support parts & accessory planning and future strategic direction. Plans and participates in industry research events including customer/dealer visits. (e.g., coordination of contacts with dealers, customers). Evaluate and assess marketability of future technologies and appropriate application for planned models. Compiles and analyses data to support the creation of accessory line-ups to support model development. Manages new model process from Pre-C to C event to gain management approval of accessory line-up. Produces model specific PDRs and leads project kick-off with Parts & Accessory team. Aligns PDR change points for official release at all SED milestones based on model and accessory development status. Communicate product description, specifications, feature, and pricing details and explain product role, customer targets and business objectives to stakeholders (development, procurement, sales, marketing) at negotiated timing within development cycle. Participates in product concept & design development with members from related departments. This includes participation in product test of current, prototype and competitor products and recommends necessary modifications or new market opportunities. Coaches Parts & Accessory team on research and planning methodology to support market events and competitive benchmarking. Who we are seeking: Required Work Experience: Requires 10 years of experience with degree or 15 years related work experience Required Education: Bachelors Degree or related discipline or equivalent work experience Desired skills: Excellent understanding of Honda and competitors product line, technology, PSP industry conditions and PSP consumers Proficiency with programs such as SPSS, MTAB, Excel, PowerPoint, multiple web-based databases Excellent decision-making ability and ability to communicate a deep belief and understanding of the concept and product being proposed Excellent planning, implementation, and project management skills Excellent analytical, planning communication and presentation skills Confident interacting with all levels of management and executives Working Conditions: Travel: Average of 12 times per year, depending on project demand and may include international Physical: Primarily deskwork, frequent keyboarding and schedule flexibility is required. Hazards: Maybe exposed to hazardous chemicals & equipment, including on/off road riding/driving. Overtime: Expected based on project demands/responsibilities and includes frequently working outside of normal business hours, particularly late evenings for meetings with other time zones (e.g. Japan.)
