Job Description
Your Responsibilities
This role will be integral to driving TopBuild's growth through strategic mergers and acquisitions. Responsibilities include identifying, evaluating, and cultivating potential acquisition opportunities, as well as initiating contact with target companies. The position requires building strong industry relationships to identify strategic opportunities ahead of competitors. Additionally, this role will lead the initial assessment and qualification of targets to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The individual will also advise executives and stakeholders, preparing presentations and talking points to support strategic decisions.
Research and source new deal flow opportunities to expand the M&A deal pipeline.Develop and support the marketing plan for pipeline development.Perform and support all capture management.Monitor and track acquisition targets, including creating company profiles and analysis.Lead market research and develop client and competitive profiles.Analyze the competitive and bidding landscape (win/loss/bids) and recommend bid-no bid opportunities.Coordinate and assist in outreach activities to potential targets with senior executives.Ensure partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.Maintain contact with targets to ensure continued business relationships and follow-on opportunities.Prepare and present consistent and concise presentations for the senior leadership team.Work with product teams to understand their roadmaps and needs to help inform deal sourcing and priorities.Your Qualifications
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Minimum Degree: Bachelor's degreeCourse of Study: Business or related fieldSpecial Requirements: May work beyond normal business hoursEXPERIENCE
Minimum experience: 3- 5 yearsRequired Industry Experience (Construction, Insulation, Trades, etc.): Construction and/or building materials preferredLegal Age Requirements: At least 18 years of agePrior research and executive sales experience.REQUIRED SKILLS
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Demonstrated business acumen and decision making skillsAbility to collaborate with variety of teams and clientsDecision making skills and adaptableTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Type of Travel Required: National, Regional, Local
Amount of Travel Required: >50%
Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a typical office environment and may require standing, bending, lifting boxes or packages under 10 lbs., and sitting for long periods of time.
Work requires regularly inputting/retrieving words or data into or from an automated/computer system.
