As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will share in the team's impact on all aspects of design, assembly, testing and support of flight hardware. You will be responsible for creating models, drawings, and configurations of engine hardware with a focus on assemblies, precision machined parts, and source controlled items. You will be responsible for the release of the detail design, production/manufacturing support, as well as the integration into the rocket engine assembly. Some components you could be responsible for include valves, high pressure cryogenic fluid systems, pressurization systems, and hydraulic systems. As part of this role, you will work closely with the Responsible Engineers, Development/Test Engineers, and Manufacturing Engineers across the team on a daily basis. Responsibilities Design and maintain component and assembly product definition by preparing design layouts and drawings, modifying existing designs and resolving design discrepancies. Apply Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly. Apply relevant company, industry (design, drafting, parts) standards to engineering designs. Implement engineering and manufacturing best practices to achieve a balanced approach to cost, schedule and performance requirements. Self-prioritize and self-schedule work activity in support of the team. Qualifications 2+ years of relevant design and drafting experience of structural parts, precision components, and subsystems using Creo/Wildfire/Pro-Engineer. Proficient in Windchill and Creo View. Strong work ethic, high attention to detail and great communication skills. Working knowledge of aerospace materials and treatments. Proficient with ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, Y14.41, etc. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired Experience with design in disciplines such as: propulsion, aircraft, spacecraft, oil & gas, automotive, naval, nuclear, or heavy equipment. Proficient in Creo Piping. Working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).
