Release Manager - Erlanger, KY

The Global Technology Cross Capabilities Organization is aligned within the enterprise process framework to the Accountable Executive/Global Process Owner (AE/GPO) organization for business technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management, and relationship management. As a member of the Global Technology Cross Capabilities Organization and a Release Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the successful planning, coordination, and execution of releases. Your role is critical in ensuring that the organization's landscape is up-to-date, stable, and compliant with industry best practices. You will work closely with various teams, including release management, administrators, development, testing, functional consultants, and project managers, to ensure a smooth and efficient release process.

Job Responsibilities:

Define release schedules, milestones, and deliverables to meet project deadlines and business objectives for releasesWork in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple releases simultaneouslyHandle complex release cyclesDrive process improvements to optimize the release management process and increase efficiency.Analyze release metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on release activities and dependencies to ensure the quality and success of software implementations.Manage software delivery from non-production environments through production.Exhibit ability to work both in a team environment and independently.Coordinate and build cutover/ implementation plans for releases.Stay up-to-date with technologies, industry trends, and best practices, applying relevant knowledge to enhance release management practices.Coordinate and communicate release schedules, Release Calendar, outage schedules, status updates, and deployment plans to stakeholders and team members.Adapt to various and changing trends and technologies, provide leadership for common release visibility and communications.Understand and influence the value of operational efficiency and improvement utilizing DevOps/Kanban boards, CI/CD automation, test automation, audit, and risk issues.Interact and deal effectively with all levels of employees while maintaining professionalism; willingness and effectiveness in challenging the status quo.Maintain a positive work environment through teamwork & conflict resolution.Expected to work occasional weekends, holidays, or a variety of shifts, when needed, to support production releases.Handle projects/releases involving cloud, non-cloud and combination of solutions.Conduct release readiness and release Go/No-Go reviews.Perform activities related to SAP Release Management, SAP Transports, Retrofit Management, ChaRM and other SAP toolsRequired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT ReleasesTrack record of large-scale implementations and Enterprise Release ManagementKnowledge of Cloud and Digital applications, components, integration points among applications/softwares and teamsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesAbility to perform release planning, build implementation/cutover plans by coordinating with teams, and conduct release checkpoints, release readiness, go/no-go reviews, and change management delivering successful releasesExperience in coordinating cross-functional team's implementation activities, implementation plans, release notesITIL certifications are a plusExperience or exposure to SAP Release Management, SAP Transports, Retrofit Management, ChaRM or other SAP tools, a plusProject management skills and the ability to handle complex release cyclesKnowledge of software development lifecycle including agile and waterfallStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated a high level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills in communicating technical information, ideas, procedures, and processes.Excited about this role but don't meet every requirement listed?
