Description
San Mateo County Health is seeking a well-qualified individual for the position of
Electronic Health Record Analyst II-Radiant/Lumens Limited Term.
This position will support Epic Radiant/Lumens which will
require Epic certification in Radiant or Lumens.
The current vacancy is limited term in the Health IT Division. This position is located in San Mateo, CA, but will travel/drive throughout the County to perform duties of the job.
Per County policy all work must be performed in the State of California.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Epic Radiant/Lumens Implementation:Lead or participate in all phases of the Epic Radiant or Lumens implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, build, testing, training, and go-live support.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of system configurations with organizational goals and objectives.Configure and customize Epic Radiant or Lumens application to meet specific business requirements while adhering to best practices and industry standards.Utilize appropriate Epic tools for efficiency including but not limited to Sherlock, Orion, and Nova.System Optimization and Maintenance:Proactively identify opportunities to optimize workflows, enhance system functionality, and improve ancillary departmentperformance.Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity, compliance with regulatory requirements, and adherence to organizational policies.Manage and adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for system availability, incident response, and resolution times.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Epic Radiant or Lumens application, working closely with technical teams as needed.Monitor system performance and resource utilization, implementing adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal performance.Coordinate and participate in regular system maintenance activities, including updates, patches, and upgrades, to ensure system stability and security.Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to evaluate new features, functionalities, and upgrades, assessing potential impact and benefits for the organization.User Support and Training:Provide expert-level support to end-users, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and delivering solutions in a timely manner.Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials and sessions to educate end-users on system capabilities, best practices, and workflow efficiencies.Serve as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for all Epic Radiant/Lumens-related inquiries and escalations.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and workflows, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.Generate and analyze reports to monitor system performance, identify trends, and measure key performance indicators related to ancillary department management.Ideal candidate
will possess:Bachelor's degree, Information Systems, or related field
preferred .Epic certification in Radiant or Lumens required, additional Epic certifications
preferred .Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing, optimizing, and/ or supporting Epic Radiant or Lumens applications in a healthcare environment.Strong understanding of third party imaging/radiology systems, including PACS imaging storage/management, vendor integration workflow/specifications, ancillary dictation processes, and device integration.Proficiency in Epic system configuration, customization, and integration techniques.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.This is a limited term, at-will position Limited Term Employees are assigned to assignments not to exceed three years. They receive medical and dental benefits, similar to regular employees, and a defined contribution retirement plan.

Two years of information technology support experience in a healthcare operation setting, including at least six months of Epic user support experience.
