JOB REQUIREMENTS: Linetec Position Summary The Occupational Health Coordinator/Nurse plays a key role in promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of employees within the manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for providing first aid and emergency care, managing health-related programs, conducting health assessments, coordinating workers\' compensation, and collaborating with safety teams to prevent workplace injuries. Key Responsibilities Employee Health Management: Provide first aid and care to employees for work-related injuries or illnesses. Administer medications and treatments within the scope of practice. Monitor and assess employee health conditions to recommend work adjustments as necessary. Maintain accurate health records, ensuring confidentiality. Health Surveillance & Wellness Programs: Conduct or coordinate employee health screenings (e.g., hearing tests, vision exams, and respiratory assessments). Oversee wellness programs to promote preventative health care (vaccination clinics, health education, etc.). Support and deliver wellness training on topics such as ergonomics, stress management, and injury prevention. Safety & Compliance: Collaborate with the safety team to ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations. Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to hazard identification and injury prevention initiatives. Develop and maintain health policies and procedures in alignment with company and regulatory standards. Workers\' Compensation & Return-to-Work Coordination: Manage workers\' compensation cases, including timely reporting, tracking, and follow-up with healthcare providers. Coordinate return-to-work and modified duty programs in partnership with supervisors and the HR team. Short-term Disability (STD) & Return-to-Work Coordination: Provide support for STD claim processing. Manage STD claims, tracking, working with healthcare providers. Coordinate return-to-work in partnership with supervisors and the HR team. Support ADA interactive process and accommodation assessment in partnership with HR team. Emergency Response: Lead or assist in emergency preparedness and response plans. Conduct CPR, AED, and first aid training for employees. Collaboration & Communication: Act as a liaison between employees, management, and external health providers. Educate staff on occupational health, safety policies, and the importance of injury prevention. Experience & Skills Education Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), or Physical Therapist (PT) required. Current and valid state nursing or therapy license. CPR and First Aid certification required. Additional certifications in occupational health nursing, safety, or ergonomics are a plus.
