Department InformationThe Woodruff School graduates high caliber mechanical engineers for a demanding profession. Mechanical engineers are the foundation of todays technological world. To do so, we provide enhanced facilities and laboratories to create the best learning environment and we attract outstanding faculty and students. In this period of rapid technological change, the Woodruff School produces mechanical engineers who are vital to our future.With approximately 3,000 students, 100 faculty members, and 80 staff members, the Woodruff School is one of the largest mechanical engineering programs in the country. We are consistently ranked as one of the top 10 mechanical engineering programs in the U.S. at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and continuously innovate to keep our school at the forefront of engineering education. Our size and resources allow us to offer a diversity of educational and research opportunities that enable us to produce highly sought after engineering professionals.Job Summary

Provide assistance to new and returning students by serving as an information source in such areas as policies, procedures, activities and programs involving campus life. Support marketing efforts related to student facilities and services. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: students, parents, unit staff and vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel: students. This position will supervise: NA.Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -Respond to inquiries from students (in person, email and phone) regarding a variety of issues; refer to other areas as appropriate.

Job Duty 2 -Participate in the development of student related marketing materials which may include production coordination and facilitating mailings.

Job Duty 3 -May maintain records and generate reports related to student activities.

Job Duty 4 -Coordinate student related activity or service with other campus departments as required.

Job Duty 5 -May recommend new or revised polices relative to student support services.

Job Duty 6 -Perform other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications

Educational RequirementsHigh school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma

Other Required QualificationsOvernight travel required for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours Degree or two years college course (due to client shift schedules, project requirements).
