Darlington Raceway, nicknamed The Lady in Black and the track Too Tough to Tame, is home to the award-winning Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR and annually hosts two NASCAR Cup Series race weekends, along with the NASCAR Xfinity Series and/or NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series. Opening in 1950, Darlington Raceway is "A NASCAR Tradition" and NASCAR's original superspeedway with its famed 1.366-mile egg-shaped oval, challenging the sports best in one of the most iconic NASCAR races, the Southern 500.Darlington Raceway is hiring for Administrative Event Staff for Darlington's historic museum. This is a part-time seasonal position.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Museum set up prior to opening: preparing cash and credit card machine, setting up DVDs.Daily tasks include greeting visitors, collecting museum admission fees and assisting with information about the track and the local area.Assist guests with gift shop purchases which includes working with cash box and credit card machine.Museum closing: prepare cash and credit card reports. Items sold need to be reported in the inventory ledger.
