Bridge Community Church , a contemporary, non-denominational church located in Floral Park, NY, on the border of Queens and Long Island, is experiencing continued growth. We are looking for an individual to lead and oversee our "Bridge Kids" ministry, which serves children from Pre-K through 5th grade.

Job Description : Children's Ministry Director (Bi-Vocational)
Purpose : The Children's Ministry Director will provide leadership and direction for aspects of Children's Ministries, with a primary focus on the Pre-K to 5th Grade - "Bridge Kids". This role involves collaborating with families, church leadership, and the community to engage children and help them deepen their relationship with Jesus.
Qualifications:Demonstrates a strong, vibrant, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ seeking to become more Christ-like daily.Demonstrates a strong ability to relate to children, students, parents, staff, and congregation.Demonstrates a passion for God's Word and the Gospel.Demonstrates a passion for children's ministryStrong ability to teach the Bible to children and students, while evangelizing and discipling them.Strong ability to lead, communicate, plan, organize and delegate effectively.Ability to develop and work within ministry teams.Ability to develop and nurture relationships with parents/adults in the church.
Ministry Responsibilities:Provide innovative and creative leadership for Bridge KidsDevelop and oversee age-appropriate programs, events, and activities.Ability to plan and execute church and outreach events.Provide opportunities for families to connect, grow, and serve together.Recruit, screen, and equip volunteers to effectively serve.Complete other ministry tasks across all of the church as required by the Lead Pastor.Recruit, train, and lead a team of volunteers to effectively run youth ministries.Utilize modern technology and social media platforms to connect with and engage the next generation.Provide training opportunities for volunteers and leaders within the next gen ministries.Stay informed about current trends, issues, and challenges faced by the youth and young adults, adapting ministry strategies accordingly.
Salary & Schedule/Responsibilities:Work hours can range from 10-20 hours per week but may extend depending upon the needs of the ministry.Hourly Pay: $25-30/hr depending on experience.While the majority of hours will be on Sunday mornings, several evenings a week may be required during certain seasons. (ie: VBS, Easter, Christmas)Weekend Schedule: Attend and serve at all worship and special services, including whole-church events, outreach events, etc.Attend regular Ministry and leadership meetings.Keep the Lead Pastor apprised of all ministries' activities.Keep accurate records and regularly report activities, achievements, and needs of the ministries to the Board.Manage an annual budget reflective of the goals and objectives of the ministries.Demonstrate personal integrity and a high standard of ethics in all areas of ministry.
Education/Experience/Plus:While a candidate pursuing a degree in ministry is preferred, it is not a requirement for this position.1-3 years of experience working in kids ministry preferred but not requiredBeing Married is a plus (not required)Being musically talented is a plus (not required)Bi-vocational candidates are welcomed
