Position Summary
: The IT Systems Administrator provides in-depth support and management expertise for the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems. This role includes monitoring and maintaining system performance, implementing system upgrades and patches, and troubleshooting complex technical issues to ensure high availability and security. The IT Systems Administrator also plays a critical role in ensuring business continuity by optimizing system operations and coordinating disaster recovery planning.

Business Partnership and CollaborationAct as a liaison between the IT department and business units, understanding operational needs and translating them into technical solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.Work closely with key stakeholders to identify opportunities where IT systems can support and drive business process improvements.Provide support for business-critical applications and systems, ensuring they integrate smoothly with the overall IT infrastructure and meet evolving business needs.Global Standard Integration
Adapt global IT standards to meet Lenze Americas' local business requirements, ensuring configurations and practices are aligned but flexible.Partner with global IT teams to implement best practices and technologies that support both global policies and local operational goals.Maintain adherence to global policy, participating in audits and risk assessments while ensuring local compliance and operational efficiency.Infrastructure Management
Oversee the maintenance and daily operations of Lenze's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.Perform routine system monitoring, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure system stability, uptime, and security.Ensure robust backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place, tested, and aligned with Lenze's business continuity plans.Security and Compliance
Maintain strict adherence to Lenze's Information Security Management System (ISMS) and other regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO, GDPR).Project Management and Implementation
Lead and support IT projects, such as system migrations, network upgrades, and the deployment of new technologies, ensuring successful completion within project timelines and budgets.Collaborate with IT leadership to develop strategies for infrastructure improvements and new system implementations that support business objectives.Document project progress, system configurations, and change management efforts to ensure consistency and compliance with IT governance standards.Technical Support and Troubleshooting
Provide Tier 2/3 support to resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with other IT teams and third-party vendors as needed.Respond to system alerts, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact business operations.Assist users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network problems, ensuring minimal disruption to daily activities.Documentation and Reporting
Maintain detailed records of all systems, configurations, and changes to support operational transparency and compliance requirements.Generate reports on system performance and health, providing recommendations for improvements and identifying potential areas of concern.Regularly update support procedures and technical documentation to assist the broader IT team in understanding system configurations and troubleshooting steps.Requirements
Qualifications Include
:
5+ years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on managing servers, networks, and storage infrastructure in a mid-to-large enterprise environment.Proficiency in systems management tools (e.g., VMware, Windows Server, Linux), network administration (e.g., firewalls, routers, switches), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams, ensuring smooth integration and optimal system performance.Strong knowledge of IT security practices and experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, or equivalent.Experience in troubleshooting and technical support for complex infrastructure issues, particularly in high-availability environments.Familiarity with disaster recovery planning, backup solutions, and system monitoring tools.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues under pressure.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of partnering with business units and global IT teams to align IT solutions with business needs.Experience in project management and the ability to lead IT infrastructure projects or participate in cross-functional project teams.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Competitive Company Benefits
