The opportunity
In this summer position, you will have the opportunity to be immersed in an assignment in which you will gain industry experience and help solve some of the biggest challenges we face today. With guidance from your mentor, you will understand the expectations of an employee in a professional setting and how to work independently, as well as within a team, to achieve your project goals. You will be part of a collaborative environment that values diverse thinking and encourages calculated risk taking.
Teva’s US Commercial offers summer positions that cross over all facets of the business. The US Commercial team is responsible for managing the Strategic Marketing, Product Management, and Commercial Operation of Teva’s inline portfolio and it is supported by various departments and teams including pricing, sales, supply chain, customer operations, inventory management, new product launch, quality, and distribution and logistics. Our summer hires will work in conjunction with these areas to stimulate creative problem-solving and collaborative leadership, while contributing to the overall goal of bringing medicines to market in a quality, compliant, on-time manner. Individuals selected for roles will join our teams in Parsippany, NJ.
How you’ll spend your day
A summer candidate can expect to join a team that aligns with their field of study and interests within US Commercial Team. Summer candidate can look forward to engaging in challenging assignments that offers the opportunity to apply their knowledge and gain valuable work experience within a professional environment. Core responsibilities are as follows:
• Perform strategic and diverse assignments respective to the role and projects within the US Commercial Organization.
• Work with Data Science Team to create commercial tools to leverage both market and internal data and Teva’s AI capabilities to visually present relevant and interactive data that facilitates decision-making both daily by commercial team and at management levels.
• Support US Gx S&OP process by creating an automated dashboard linking cross-functional inputs in real-time, presenting the data with visual format, and keeping history/progress/decision.
• Create a competitor information database and effective tracking system to give US commercial team a competitive advantage in monitoring major competitors’ strategy, new product launch, and supply issues through public information and making internal adjustments to defend business and/or capture market upside.
• Learn from and assist Product Managers to identify opportunities in Teva’s inline portfolio for growth and optimization opportunities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or require
Your experience and qualifications
Must-Have
• Completed at least Sophomore year in a College or University studying applicable coursework (Marketing, Business, Science, Engineering, Information Management).
• Strong academic performance (a minimum 3.5 GPA or higher preferred)
• Self-motivated, with the ability to be agile and adaptable in a fast pace environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of teamwork, innovation and initiative
• Strong organizational skills
• Capacity to quickly identify problems and create solutions
• Highly effective in communicating in written, verbal, and presentation form
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Passion for learning and pursuing a career in the health care industry
