We are seeking a seasoned, dynamic Sr. Manager, Business Development and Capture Manager to join our team at Davidson Technologies Inc. With over 10 years of experience working across the Department of Defense (DoD) and its related agencies, the ideal candidate will lead the charge in identifying new opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and overseeing the entire capture management process to secure critical contracts and partnerships. This hybrid role offers the chance to drive both immediate and long-term growth, contributing directly to Davidson's strategic success. Candidates will collaborate with innovative teams leveraging Davidson's expertise in AI/ML, space situational awareness, and advanced defense technologies while shaping the defense market through strong relationships and forward-thinking solutions.

Responsibilities :

Business Development Role

Apply expertise to shape strategic direction of Davidson's offerings, positioning the company as a key partner in defense modernization. Lead the development and execution of the company's strategic growth initiatives within the Department of Defense and other related government sectors. Identify new business opportunities through market research, customer interactions, and industry events. Establish and maintain strong relationships with DoD agencies, primes, and other government organizations to increase visibility and competitiveness. Develop and execute plans to expand current business lines, penetrate new markets, and create long-term growth. Collaborate with technical and operational teams to develop innovative solutions that address the customer's current and future challenges. Track industry trends, policy changes, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for business expansion. Capture Management Role

Lead and manage the entire capture process from opportunity identification to proposal submission, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer requirements. Develop capture plans and strategies to position the company as a preferred partner for defense and government programs. Engage with customers early in the procurement process to shape requirements and position the company's capabilities to meet the mission needs. Work with cross-functional teams (proposal writers, pricing, legal, technical SMEs) to develop winning proposals that align with government objectives and regulations. Conduct competitive analysis and risk assessments for specific opportunities, ensuring the company has a strong competitive advantage. Negotiate teaming agreements, partnerships, and joint ventures with industry partners when applicable. Ensure post-award contract transition and engagement with customers to foster ongoing relationships and identify follow-on work. Requirements: Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development and capture management within the Department of Defense or defense contracting industry. Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes, regulations, and procurement methodologies. Proven track record of winning DoD contracts in various domains (e.g., C5ISR, Systems Engineering, Software Development, etc.). Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify, and capture business opportunities in the federal and defense markets. Established network within DoD organizations, program offices, and related government agencies. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess market trends, competition, and technical capabilities to drive business decisions. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to lead, manage, and inspire cross-functional teams during the proposal and capture process. Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related science/technical field (Master's preferred). 25% travel - occasional travel to various customer sites, industry events, and military installations. Desired Competencies/Experience: Experience with small business and defense contractor operations. Knowledge of DoD modernization priorities and some knowledge of how various technologies enhance such as Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, digital engineering, etc.

Clearance Requirements: Active SECRET clearance and ability to qualify for TOP SECRET.
