Junior Developers
to join the GTP-GOPAX development team. Junior Developers will support the design, coding, debugging, testing, and maintenance of web applications while learning and growing within a dynamic team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced, Agile environment, working closely with senior developers and technical leads.This position is onsite at Scott AFB.Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in the development of web applications and services using programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL.
Participate in the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from initial coding to troubleshooting and debugging.Collaborate with senior and mid-level developers to implement code according to defined specifications, following best practices for secure and efficient development.Support software testing efforts, including unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance testing (UAT).Engage in Agile Scrum processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, and sprint reviews, ensuring alignment with project timelines.Assist in refactoring legacy code to improve system efficiency and scalability, under the supervision of more experienced developers.Help maintain and update system documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and deployment procedures.Perform basic troubleshooting and provide system maintenance support, including bug fixing and performance optimization.Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and best practices within the team.Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance.Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.Must hold an active an IAT Level II certification; CompTIA Security+ CE highly preferred.BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, other related disciplines, or technical trainingBasic proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages such as HTML/CSS and SQL.Familiarity with web development frameworks and tools such as Angular 2, Spring Boot, or similar.Experience working in Linux (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux - RHEL) and Windows environments.Willingness to learn new technologies and collaborate effectively in a team-based environment.Basic understanding of secure coding practices and familiarity with tools such as Fortify Static Code Analyzer (SCA) or SonarQube.Exposure to Agile development methodologies and familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and GitLab.Eagerness to grow in a fast-paced, Agile environment, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy
