Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC handles end-to-end warehousing and distribution logistics needs utilizing our strategic network of storage facilities. Our facilities are capable of receiving, storing, processing and dispatching cargo, so we can build flexibility and resilience into the supply chain process. Our integrated solutions allow us to be prepared for supply chain risks, so we can plan distribution to better achieve lead time and goals despite unexpected conditions. This position administers daily planning, scheduling, reporting & financial operations of the terminal. Directs the activities of the entire operation including: Dock purchasing, Traffic, and Equipment Maintenance.
Essential Functions:
Defines and delegates subordinate responsibilities, develops strategies to improve operational costsNegotiates bids with brokers and asset based carriers to meet company savings objectivesOversees freight transfer activity from terminal to terminalDevelop and maintain cost efficient methods of operation. Insures customer satisfaction, a facility free of safety hazards, and proper performance of operational processesFosters an environment of continuous improvementCommunicates and enforces company policies, procedures and rules to employeesProvides advice, guidance, and assistance as neededRecommends and approves increases or decrease in staff; screens and selects employees; approves long range departmental plans, work goals, and objectives and standardsAssists and evaluates the performance of employees' recommendations and approves expenditures, salary changes, promotions, transfers, changes in status and disciplinary actionAssigns work, trains, develops, and motivates employeesResponsible for KPI metrics and PNL performanceHelping drive revenue into the SationControlling Station ExpendituresManage Station employeesCommunicates and administers personnel programs and procedures in accordance with approved policiesOther duties as requested
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Able to read, write and speak EnglishExcel and PowerPointKnowledge of Terminal OperationsDeep understanding of business law, along with local, state and federal regulationsA high degree of computer software knowledge
EDUCATION:
A four year college degree preferred, but can be substituted with equivalent experienceEXPERIENCE
Five years of management experience requiredMust be able to read/speak/write English

Pay Range:
$95,000-$110,000 per year
*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
