Job Summary
Compass Group has a new business development position available to grow the Bon Appétit Management Company brand within the higher education market. This professional, top performer will be an organized self-starter, who loves to hunt for new opportunities and is able to work independently. This is a strategic, high-level, high-integrity individual contributor role that builds strong relationships and directs the sales process in collaboration with our operating partners and support teams.
As the Regional Sales Director for Bon Appétit, you report to the Senior Vice President of Sales at Compass Group and are responsible for profitable market growth through new opportunities for Bon Appétit within the Higher Education market. Selling the premier brand Bon Appétit (https://www.bamco.com/), the candidate will be based in a major metropolitan city within the Northeast but with a national territory.
We offer a base salary and commission that provide you earning potential of $200-250K. Key Responsibilities:
Build strategic relationships in a 12+ month, complex sales process
Cold call, prospect, network and develop new and existing markets
Communicate effectively in various formats (written and oral) with key stakeholders
Develop winning sales proposals and respond to complex RFPs in collaboration with our operating partners and proposal development resources
Identify necessary support resources to successfully close new business
Learn and follow the Compass Sales Process
Exceed annual new business target/quota
This position entails up to 65% travel within the territory Qualifications:
Interested candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Authentic new business hunter with experience in the higher education sector preferred
Computer skills including CRM, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
5+ years sales experience; preferred focus on 80% minimum new business (new client) focus
A track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales quotas and targets over time
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Strong time management and territory development skills
Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
High energy level, positive attitude and overall likeability
Strong executive presence, and the ability to progress further in the organization
High degree of personal accountability and integrity with emphasis on emotional intelligence
Preference for candidates that are inspired by the Bon Appétit brand and its purpose to create "Food Service for a Sustainable Future"
Preference for candidates who can effectively articulate the value of this
Qualifications:
