Job Purpose

Role of the Product Line Specialist is to enable profitable growth of the ES&S products in the Americas region in cooperation with product management, commercial and operational teams. The position holder supports the portfolio management including product positioning and development especially in those areas where business dynamics require a specific focus. Based on a product line strategy and direction from the product line managers, the product line specialist focuses on activities to deliver impact, progress, and results. The position is responsible for analytical reports, evaluation, and recommendations to Product Line Managers.

Principal Accountabilities

Strategy: Support in the development and implementation of the product line strategy: sales development & growth plans, P&L/CM2, important capex & technology projects, current and future technology developments, raw material strategy, M&A plans.

Profitability: improve product line results (COI/CM2) and conversion cost.

Portfolio, Growth, Innovation: Manage the life cycle of products and management of pipeline projects and lead and drive the launch of new products (translation from R&D to marketing/sales and manufacturing in the regions)

Innovation:

Review monthly import report for trends relative to ES&S

Profitability: support global capacity utilization and capacity extension plans across regions.

Working Capital: Drive programs that enhance service and help to meet working capital goals.

KPI

Realized impact – result and progress of critical / key initiatives / PL priorities, new product launches, CM2 margin improvements)

COI improvement targets, action and results per Product Lines (in collaboration with regions)

Improved efficiencies and conversion cost

Demand planning accuracy.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience working in cross-functional teams; having the maximum combination of various roles which can include sales, application develop, technology/R&D, supply chain operations, S&OP and finance.

Bachelor’s degree in relative field.

Confident and highly effective influencer with a hands-on, pragmatic way of working

Strong ability to balance multiple important projects simultaneously and lead them to successful outcomes in a timely manner.

Strategic thinker with experience in defining, implementing and managing product portfolio and management strategies in a global company.

Good understanding of engineering plastics and the key markets where they are used.

Strong change management experience and skilled at supporting and guiding teams through change transformation

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization while being able to influence teams and individuals not reporting to the BLM

Proven background in sales (ideally global or across multiple countries) is desirable but not required

Travel required (Customers and ES&S locations)

The salary range for this position is $69,595 - $86,995. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
