Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Site Construction Manager who will work out of our Tampa, FL project location. The Site Construction Manager of Water Treatment will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.
The ideal candidate should establish and maintain seamless communication with the home office project team and the customer to ensure an accurate and timely flow of information. The candidate should ensure client satisfaction through exceptional customer service and flawless execution at the construction site. The ideal candidate should have a general understanding of commercial contracts, industrial construction, local codes, engineering drawings, quality control, scheduling, cost control, and OSHA safety standards. The ideal candidate should have the ability to multitask with attention to detail. Good communication skills are necessary as the selected candidate would be interacting extensively with customers, county officials, subcontractors, suppliers, colleagues, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferredTen (10) or more years of construction-related experienceExecuted at least 3 projects as Construction ManagerOSHA 30 certificationJob Description:
Oversee, Manage, and direct construction from beginning to end.Work very closely and coordinate with the Project Manager.Create and manage the overall Site Construction ScheduleThe Site Construction Manager shall be experienced in the same or substantially similar responsibilities on projects similar in size, type, and complexity to the Work and the Facility.Create and issue 3-week lookahead schedules every weekManage, Plan, Organize, implement, and control all construction activities of the project per Project ScheduleTrack inventory regularlyBe the primary contact on site for construction & liaison with head office on issues relating to the project progressCreate contractual documents for execution of claims-free-sub-contracts for site worksEnsure the project is constructed by design, budget, and schedulePlan to prevent problems and mitigate emerging ones.Establish risk profile for project(s) and proactively manage mitigation plans, dealing dynamically with unexpected outcomes to ensure project(s) successEnsure that company policies, procedures, standards, etc. are followedSite subcontractor management & implementation of HSE (Healthy, Safety & Environmental)Monitor and ensure compliance with building and safety regulations.Work closely with customers at the site and develop a spirit of mutual trust and co-operationEnsure site progress as per schedule. If there are delays, initiate the necessary actions like allocating extra resources or alternative work processes to ensure the schedule is back on trackReport progress to the project managerProvide daily & monthly progress report & update the schedule for submission to customerDiscuss with the project team and propose/resolve customer and site-related issuesWork with site sub-contractor to standards at the site and maintain alignment with customerAttend customer meetings, and contractor meetings and provide directionEnsure timely disposition of the site contractor queriesIdentify and mitigate risks that may have an impact on the projectInform the project manager of issues that may affect project profit, costs, schedules, and client relationsEnsure maintenance of daily records of all site activities, including information on labor and plant, and any non-compliant materials or workmanshipMonitor project cost and provide Project Manager with timely identification of deviations from budgetEvaluate the change orders/scope change requests of the subcontractor & provide inputs to the project managerIn case of any accidents, damages, or emergencies at the site, ensure following proper protocol & procedureSkill Requirements:
Proficient in reading the Engineering drawings and documentsProficient with computer programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Blue Beam, Navisworks, and navigating 3D ModelKnowledge of project control software such as Microsoft Projects & Primavera P6 is preferredExperience in water/wastewater treatment preferredOSHA standards and other site safety practicesExcellent time managementOrganization and priority-defining skillsAbility to listen, communicate (written and oral), and strong willingness to collaborateUnderstanding of budgeting and financial analysisWillingness to meet any site-specific requirements per project/customerBenefits:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individuals must be able to support 24/7 site coverage and monitoring, including holidays and shift work. Successful candidates must be able to work rotating shifts (including holidays) and must be available for scheduled and unscheduled overtime as conditions of employment.
Physical Job Demands:
Lifting/carrying/moving 50 lbs, may need to climb ladders cannot be afraid of heights, and will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on site. Involves sitting at a desk for extended periods. Needs a high degree of concentration in a busy area.
