ECS is seeking a
Release and Deployment Manager
team member to support a biometric mission critical application for the Department of Homeland Security. We are seeking professionals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment where problem-solving, critical thinking, and a holistic approach to serving the mission are key. The Release and Deployment Manager will be responsible for managing the complete software delivery lifecycle, from planning and scheduling to deployment and post-release support. This role requires close collaboration with Government, development, testing, database, infrastructure and operations teams to ensure that releases and deployments are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality. Specific responsibilities will include:
Primary Duties
Release Planning: Develop and maintain the release schedule, coordinating with Government, Development, Infrastructure and Database teams to ensure alignment with project timelines and business goals. Coordination and Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all release and deployment related activities, ensuring clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including Government, developers, testers, IT operations, Infrastructure, change management and program leadership. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with releases and deployments, ensuring that potential issues are addressed proactively. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all releases meet quality standards by coordinating testing efforts and validating that all requirements are met before deployment. This includes environment and stakeholder readiness, government and team communications, and deployment staffing. Deployment Management: Lead the deployment process, ensuring that releases are deployed smoothly and efficiently with minimal disruption to production environments. During the deployment is responsible to 1) Verify correct personnel are present 2) Assures that tasks are executed per the plan, 3) Tracks the timing of tasks to assure the timely completion of the Deployment 4) Notify Management and the Government of issues including if the window is a risk of breach. Post-Release Support: Monitor releases post-deployment, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring that they are resolved promptly. Will also be responsible for roll back activities if necessary. Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve the release management process by implementing best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Apply lessons learned to future deployment and communicate them to other Release and Deployment team members. Salary Range: $135,000 - $160,000
