500° Studios has a great opportunity to join the creative team as a
Designer
based in our Columbus, OH office. The
Designer
is an integral part of the creative team and is responsible for the development and design of digital and print, in and out-of-home merchandising, marketing, and promotional communications in support of our big brand, industry-leading clients.
The ideal candidate can clearly and effectively articulate design thinking and creative choices can design and create with confidence as an independent thinker, while also working closely with others on the creative team, including art directors and copywriters, to deliver work that aligns with client objectives and strategic direction
What You'll Do:• Develop creative ideas, concepts, campaigns, and insights that will drive consumers to react• Create visually appealing and innovative design concepts for various marketing materials,including but not limited to print advertisements, digital ads, social media graphics, websites,email campaigns, and promotional materials• Design visually unique graphic solutions to communicate brand message across all platforms• Working off of client creative briefs to come up with new design strategies/ideas and refreshingthe current when needed, all while working within the brand guidelines of our clients• Utilize best practice design techniques to transform conceptual ideas into polished designs;Including but not limited to: Typography, color, shape, and layout; Animation/motion design; Illustration• Effectively collaborate and communicate design concepts with internal creative team to build aculture of innovation, excellence, and accountability• Work with cross-functional teams such as account service, production, and project managementto ensure high-quality execution on creative deliverables
What You'll Need:• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field preferred and/or equivalentwork experience• 3+ years of professional design experience• Must have a portfolio of projects across print and digital• Knowledge of the production process, including proofing• Expert use of Adobe CS (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects)• Experience creating presentations (Keynote is a must-have or a must-learn)• Must possess a mastery of typography, illustration, color, shape, and design• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously• Excellent communication and collaboration skills• Attention to detail, attention to detail & attention to detail• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meetdeadlines
What's Nice to Have:• Prior marketing/creative agency experience preferred• QSR/food photography experience is a huge plus• Experience with video content creation and motion graphics are a huge plus
Physical & Travel Requirements:• Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment• Stamina to handle extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking• Availability to travel up to 10-15% of the year, as needed, to client locations, industry events, orother relevant destinations
