What We're Looking for:

Hood Container Corporation is seeking a motivated and experienced individual with strong leadership skills to guide our press team as a

Converting Lead . The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of press operations, die mounting, and rotary cutting dies, as well as a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.

Major Areas of ResponsibilityPress productionDie mountingRotary cutting diesPrimary Objectives

Ensure adherence to all company policies (Safety, Production, AIB, ISO, and Quality).Train press employees.Drive continuous production improvements.Specific Responsibilities

Collaborate with scheduling to maintain an efficient workflow in the pressroom.Assist employees in troubleshooting problems, providing coaching for improvements and adjustments.Coordinate with other departments to resolve issues.Perform quality checks throughout the press production area.Cross-train employees to ensure versatility.Attend production and safety meetings.Work with sales service and die mounting teams to ensure print plate quality meets company standards.Maintain rotary cutting die inventory.Perform other job duties and projects as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong skills in safety, quality control, and training.Working knowledge of production equipment, safety guidelines, and company policies.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Basic understanding of Six Sigma principles.Job Conditions & Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in temperature extremes from 40°F to 120°F for extended periods.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to push and pull up to 50 lbs.Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent.3+ years of experience as an operator in a production manufacturing environment.Proven experience as an effective communicator and problem solver.Experience in an AIB and ISO-compliant manufacturing environment.
